Seattle - Preston: The boat, upside down, has been returned to the loft for additional work. The top pictures are us making molds of some critical sections of the boat. That way, if we have any race damage, we can easily fabricate replacement pieces. On the bottom you can see a couple of fiberglass voids we discovered and repaired. |

Seattle - Preston: Here - we've painting the top and bottom. We just need to add some sponsor decals and we are all done. |
Seattle - Tastin' n Racin' on Lake Sammamish: We got the boat ready to test at Tastin' n Racin'!. This annual event includes races of several classes, including Inboard (1 Litre, 2.5 Stock, 2.5 Mod, 5 Litre & National Modified), flatbottom runabouts, Grand Prix Hydros and PWCs (jet skis) on Lake Sammamish, about 10 miles East of Seattle. After rebuilding the boat this winter, Nate Brown took the U-17 out to test drive the new systems. Upon giving the thumbs up to the new improvements, Nate handed the keys to Kip Brown who will be the driver for 2008. What did Kip think of the ride? After climbing out of the cockpit, all he could say was, "Wow!" These pictures from Tastin' n Racin' are courtesy of Tom Gordon (thanks Tom!) |
You don't see this every day on
Lake Sammamish! |
